Alex Massi, VP External

Often called by my last name, Massi, I am the living story of perseverance and success. Coming from a small town on the South Shore of Montreal, I completed elementary and high school in French. It was a little before graduation from high school that I decided to pursue my education in English. After attending CEGEP, my passion for commerce and my adventurous nature led me to carry on my studies at the University of Ottawa. On a side note, I am an avid soccer player and a firm believer of a well balanced life. I would be nowhere today without the close knit friendships that I have formed at the Telfer School of Management and I wish you all to have an unforgettable time here as well.

Favourite Quote:

“Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation.”

Jaime Green, VP Internal

I am a fourth year marketing student at the Telfer School of Management, but it has been quite the ride getting here! I attended the University of Ottawa in my first year, had a brief lapse of judgment in my second year when I decided to go to my hometown of Guelph to play varsity basketball, but after coming to my senses I moved back to Ottawa and have been actively involved since then. Last year I was part of the Jeux du Commerce and Happening Marketing delegations, which led me to my current role as VP Internal. This year I am also part of the Symposium and JDC delegations, as well as a TA for 1300. I love sports, country music, and new experiences. I plan on going on exchange to Thailand for my last semester next September, and my goal once a graduate is to find a job that combines my interest in business and my passion for sports.

Favourite Quote:

If not now, when?

Advice: Get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable - talk to that person sitting next to you in class, join a club that seems intimidating, walk into that presentation with confidence, try something new, do things that scare you.

Advice: Live life everyday as if it is your last. A lot of people do not realize, but life is in fact very short, and should not be taken advantage of. Take risks wisely and never let something ruin your day, always stay positive and look for the better in the worst. One of the most important things I keep in mind, is to never expect anything, because everything will seem much better than it is.
