THE 14TH ANNUAL ELLE WINE AND CHEESE - “Uncorking Success”

The 14th annual “Excellence of Leadership and Legacy in Entrepreneurship” (ELLE) Wine and Cheese will be held on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011. At this prestigious event, both students and professionals will have the opportunity to network with one another and, more importantly, celebrate the journey to success of Canada’s top female executives.
Formerly known as the “women in business” Wine and Cheese, this event recognizes the challenges overcome by women entrepreneurs and business professionals. While commemorating the success of top Canadian business entrepreneurs, ELLE also presents the opportunity for over 200 students and professionals to interact and share ideas.
The theme for this year’s event is “Uncorking Success” and we are proud to welcome Angela Aiello, founder of the extremely popular iYellow wine club website and wine school. Boasting a membership of over 5000, iYellow has become a one-stop shop for all things wine. An avid blogger to share her knowledge, Angela keeps her followers informed on her wine tasting adventures, locally and abroad. You may have seen her in the recent “goLocal” LCBO advertisements. Utilizing the power of social media, iYellow has grown in popularity and we are honoured to have her speak about her experiences as an entrepreneur.
There will be a silent auction with all proceeds going to Unicef on University of Ottawa campus.

Movember
The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember.
Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for prostate cancer. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days. Mo bros and Mo sistas work together in order to raise as much money for the best Mo!
Last year’s Canadian campaign was the second largest in the world behind Australia, with 35,156 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas coming together to raise $7.8 million for Prostate Cancer Canada.
Let’s help the University of Ottawa reach their Movember goal by supporting the Telfer School of Management Movemeber team! You can join the Telfer School of Management Team at http://ca.movember.com/register/132810 . All donations can also be submitted to the Movember website. So call upon all of your Mo bros and Mo sistas and support this awesome cause!
Please email Meagan Minnings at vpsocial@cetsc.ca with any questions/ comments/ concerns.
You can see updates about Movember on our website www.cetsc.ca to get all of the details about our progress and upcoming events!
