Making a Difference through CSR & Business Sustainability
For those of you that do not know me, I am a very down-to-earth, optimistic and high-energy girl! This makes a right fit for my new role on the Telfer Student Council. As Director of CSR & Business Sustainability, I want to inspire students by sharing different ways they can make a positive impact through business. In the past months, I have been touching base with faculty members about the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the Telfer School of Management. With the support of CETSC’s VP Academic, we will look at how the curriculum can be improved to better implement CSR so that all Telfer students will graduate as well-rounded leaders and ready to face new challenges.
I have also been meeting with a sub-committee for several months to organize for you ... the 3rd Annual Sustainable Business Conference (SBC)! Can’t wait until the Winter semester for the SBC? A teaser event will be organized at the end of November to get the conversation started around CSR. You will learn more about a company that has a great social business model and you will have the chance to win a prize that will make a difference!
